It depends. If you have a service where people can share files, then you might need an anti-virus to check whether the uploaded files are infected. This will protect your reputation and build trust with your users.
Our virus definitions are updated regularly to ensure the highest level of protection against the latest threats. We continuously monitor new malware and update our database accordingly.
To test whether the service works, we highly recommend using EICAR files. EICAR is a test file created by the European Institute for Computer Antivirus Research (EICAR) and Computer Antivirus Research Organization (CARO) to safely test antivirus programs without the risk of real malware damage.
